The Angelus 8 Days movement, adopted by Panerai in the 1940s in order to supply the Italian Navy with a time-measuring instrument which was as reliable and accurate as possible, is revived and consecrated in the Luminor 1950 8 Days. A solid movement of outstanding reliability, it is large in size and has a feature which has become a distinctive trade mark of Panerai: the small seconds dial at 9 o'clock, in a position directly opposite the winding crown. Now the Angelus calibre lives again in a strictly limited series of 150 units recovered from the past. The movements have been completely restored to new condition, with all parts being overhauled or renewed. The style of the leather strap also recalls the Panerai's position as a supplier to the military, with the highly visible sewing enhancing the sports character of the Luminor 8 Days.
