IWC Portofino Hand-Wound Eight Days watch, round stainless steel case (45mm diameter, 12mm thickness) with transparent caseback, brown alligator leather strap by Santoni with tang buckle, black dial with silver hands and index hour markers, power reserve indication at 9 o'clock, small seconds display at 6 o'clock, date display at 3 o'clock, 30 jewel Caliber 59210 manual-winding mechanical movement with 8 day power reserve, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, water-resistant to 30 meters.
The Portofino Hand-Wound Eight Days is the flagship of the Portofino family. And, for its owner, winding the movement once a week will be an exquisite pleasure, because the newly developed IWC-manufactured 59210-calibre movement runs reliably and precisely for a full 192 hours ? or exactly 8 days ? before it automatically stops. The power remaining can be read off on the power reserve display on the dial between ?8? and ?9 o?clock?. In combination with the displays for the small seconds at ?6 o?clock? and the date at ?3?, it gives the dial a pleasing sense of balance. The watch is available in a gold case with a slate-coloured dial and solid gold indices or in a stainless steel case with a silver-plated or black dial and gold-or rhodium-plated indices. All the different models come with an alligator leather strap by Santoni, the Italian quality shoe manufacturers.
