Swiss watch brand Hublot has introduced a new Big Bang watch which commemorates its official timekeeper partnership with Manchester United football club. The new timepiece bears the moniker of "Red Devil" in commemoration of Manchester's nickname, and displays a distinctive range of colorful design details which point to its sporting heritage. Crafted from satin-polished black ceramic, the Hublot Red Devil Bang measures 44.5mm in diameter, and features a strap in ribbed black rubber. The satined black ceramic bezel bears the distinctive titanium H-screws which are a design signature of the Big Bang watch design. Unique to the Red Devil Bang are bezel lugs in red composite resin; these eye-catching accents echo the dial details, most notably the Manchester United logo at 3 o'clock. Another element of note is the 45-minute chronograph counter, which has been specifically engineered to measure the halves of a football match. Like other Hublot Big Bang watches, this model is fitted with glare-proofed sapphire crystals, and is water resistant to 100 meters. Designed specifically for the requirements of football matches, the Hublot Red Devil Big Bang watch presents a unique chronograph complication which is calibrated for match requirements. The counter on the left side of the dial can time the 45-minute match periods, as well as the 15-minute extra-time intervals. The movement responsible for this function is known as the HUB45 caliber; this self-winding movement features 55 jewels, and has a tungsten carbide central rotor, for efficient winding. Power reserve is approximately 45 hours. Additional functions of the HUB45 caliber are subsidiary seconds, and a date display.
