Discerning individuals who prefer larger watches will appreciate the Grand Lange 1; it's case has a diameter of 41.9 mm, and it's consummately crafted movement embodies all of the typical elements of Lange watchmaking artistry. It's intrinsic values and the characteristic design of its dial quickly transformed the Lange 1 into a symbol of the comeback of Lange watchmaking prowess. Its sibling, the Grand Lange 1, appeals to connoisseurs of precision horology who prefer somewhat larger timepieces. The new case diameter of the Grand Lange 1 allowed the enlargement of the hour, minute, and small seconds indications. The characteristic asymmetric arrangement of the displays on the solid-silver dial ? now available in three new colour variations ? remains unchanged. The patented outsize date provides a highly legible date indication. The state of wind of the twin mainspring barrel is indicated by the up-and-down power-reserve indicator. When fully wound, the watch has a power reserve of three days. In all models, the hands are made of solid gold. The Grand Lange 1 comes in 18-carat gold or platinum and a luxuriously supple crocodile strap or optionally with a stunning precious-metal bracelet. The buckle with the engraved Lange signature is also crafted from gold or platinum and the embossed crown is solid gold. The sapphire-crystal caseback reveals the exquisite Lange L901.2 movement.
