Small Cartier Tank Francaise Watches
“Launched in 1996, the Tank Francaise is part of the Tank series. With its bracelet integrated into its curved case, it looks like a jewel designed to eliminate any interruptions in the lines, volume or material of the watch and the bracelet. A Tank watch, right to the tip of its two vertical sidepieces although, this time, Cartier softens their corners, which are delicately beveled. Concave sidepieces, similar in space to a set of brackets, ease the Art Deco-inspired geometry, shaping a new Tank watch, the indented edges of its bracelet calling to mind the caterpillar tracks of the mythical war vehicle after which it is named. The Cartier Tank Francaise comes in three sizes (small, midsize, and large) in steel, steel and gold, yellow gold, rose gold, and white gold on a leather strap or metal bracelet. Some models are embellished with diamonds. The Cartier Tank Francaise is equipped with a quartz movement in the small model, and a self-winding mechanical movement in the midsize and large models, and is water resistant up to a depth of 30 meters.
